This December, the Valletta Cultural Agency will host a series of curated cultural and festive activities aimed at providing enriching experiences for children and families. From traditional letter-writing sessions with Santa’s elves to musical parades and creative workshops, the capital will offer a diverse programme designed to celebrate the spirit of the season.
Santa’s Elves & Letters to Santa
Dates: 7, 12, 14 and 21 December 2025
Time: 11:00am – 1:00pm
Location: St George’s Square and surrounding areas in Valletta
Throughout selected dates in December, Santa’s elves will be present in Valletta to assist children in preparing their personal letters to Santa. Young participants will have the opportunity to write their festive messages, decorate their letters with drawings and embellishments, and place them in a dedicated Santa’s postbox.
This initiative offers families a charming and memorable Christmas experience, whether it marks a child’s first letter to Santa or continues a longstanding family tradition. The activity aims to nurture creativity, imagination, and the joy associated with the festive season.
Tikka Banda Christmas Parade

Location: Valletta, including Freedom Square, Republic Street and St George’s Square
Valletta will also feature the vibrant Tikka Banda Christmas Parade, which will introduce a dynamic fusion of traditional Maltese festa elements with contemporary musical arrangements. The parade will move through key streets in the capital, providing an uplifting and colourful atmosphere for the public.
This roaming performance is expected to enhance the festive ambience for families, shoppers, and visitors, contributing to the cultural vitality of Valletta during the holiday period.
Gootopia Children’s Workshop

Location: Valletta Design Cluster
The Gootopia Children’s Workshop will offer an engaging and educational experience centred on creativity, design and hands-on learning. Guided by experienced facilitators, children will participate in interactive activities that encourage artistic exploration and imaginative expression.
The workshop aims to support the development of creative skills, teamwork and problem-solving, while allowing each child to produce a personal creation to take home. It promises a structured and enriching morning suitable for children with an interest in art and design.
